By Rabbi Lazer Brody
Update date: 1/16/2021, 19:54

By Rabbi Lazer Brody
Update date: 1/16/2021, 19:55

So many people ask, “I have a good heart. I try my best to avoid hurting a single soul on earth. I am decent, considerate of others and try to help those in need whenever I can. Why must I do teshuva?"

  Bo: Intensification of Slavery

By Rabbi Nasan Maimon
Update date: 1/16/2021, 19:56

Rabbi Nasan Maimon explains the role of humility and gratitude for Hashem's kindness during painful times. We need to internalize that Hashem has only our best interests at heart. Sometimes intensification of pain makes it possible to shorten the test.

  Bo: The Language of Joy

By Rabbi Lazer Brody

Bo: Standing up to Dark-Side Emuna

By Rabbi Lazer Brody
Update date: 1/16/2021, 19:57

Pharoah has already received what should be a knock out punch. After being hit in the face with 10 plagues, he still isn’t throwing in the towel. What is the source of such power? What does it teach us?

  Va'eira: All or None?

By Rabbi Ralph Cohen
Update date: 1/9/2021, 19:53

Moshe, Tzaddik of the generation, was ignored because the people were burdened with "hard work". Our tzaddikim teach that we will get out of our current exile by doing the "small" things-not by doing superhuman and "hard" devotions. It's not all or none!

  Va'eira: The Secret of Creation

By Rabbi Lazer Brody
Update date: 1/9/2021, 19:54

Moses complains that Hashem has made life even more difficult for the enslaved Israelites in Egypt. Hashem responds by telling Moses that He revealed Himself to the forefathers by His Name of E'l Sha'ddai, thereby giving Moses the secret of creation…

  Va'eira: Battle Strategies

By Rabbi Ralph Cohen
Update date: 1/9/2021, 19:54

Pharo's persistence teaches us the secret of how to successfully battle the evil inclination! Our strategy is to call out to Hashem and continue forward in our path - don't dwell on the evil inclination's ploys.

  Va'eira: Prayers for Posterity

By Rabbi Lazer Brody
Update date: 1/9/2021, 19:55

Rashi is exacting in his elaboration of this week's Torah portion: Hashem revealed His Name of mercy to our holy forefathers, but He didn't reveal Himself to them as totally and exclusively merciful…
